Here are some resources we'll touch on in class... and some we won't!
1. Recommendation for some folks posting great stuff on Twitter:
These folks have helped me find great resources over the years and inspire me to think in continually expanding ways. Never know what you might find!
Listed in no particular order, the gray text are links to the pages.
@GuyKawasaki
Social media tinkerer, Kawasaki hires some 'ghost posters,' people who post for him, and that seems to rub some folks the wrong way... but I find some great resources from following this thread, and some great entertainment.
@PopSci
A science magazine online that explores new trends.
@chrislehmann
@bhsprincipal
@willrich45
@edutopia
@L_Hilt
@shannonmmiller
@dlaufenberg
@web20classroom
Here's an example... @web20classroom posted this article today, a LiveBinder on how to use Twitter. Seem like it has a lot of good resources to explore Twitter and also introduced me to LiveBinder (I'd never heard of it until I saw this post. I'm not sure if I'll use LiveBinder... but it's interesting to explore!). Looking through some of his other tweets, looks like he's exploring LiveBinder. Here's another one of his posts on DropBox.

There's a list of just a few folks. Remember, if you subscribe to them you'll see them in your feed. You can also see who they are following by visiting their pages and clicking on
'Following' !
There are lots of tools to view Twitter than just the web site page (though I like it's redesign!): The Twitter app on an iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, and various clients on Android smartphones as well.
Might give HootSuite a look too... for those power Twitter folks ; )
Google Reader: Part of the Google Apps Suite
Visiting each blog you read can take time... especially if you read a lot. Google Reader 'aggregates' these blogs into one view (you subscribe and these feeds come to you). Here's the HELP file from Google on using Google Reader ( found this by opening Reader and going to the bottom of the page). Here's a video by CommonCraft on RSS and using Google Reader:
http://www.commoncraft.com/video/rss
The video shows you how to subscribe if there's a subscription button. You can also subscribe manually if you can't find a button: Find a blog you like, copy the address, then go to Google Reader and hit the 'Add Supscription' button (near the top left of the page).
Have fun exploring!
Google Reader on an mobile device:
There are many tools for reading your Google Reader subscription on a mobile device. I use the Reeder app. It's not free... but I've found I like this one the best. When you open an app like Reeder, you are asked for your google account login, and then it syncs your feeds automatically. Good way to take stories on the go... to read what you want, where you want.
Some of my favorite blogs: In no particular order. Subscribe to them if you like and visit the pages themselves to read through some past posts.
Making a great post, nearly every day.
